The SBI Gram Seva program, a flagship CSR initiative by the SBI Foundation, has been completed in Uttarakhand’s Syaldey block, Almora district. Implemented over three years by Sanjeevani Vikas Evam Jan Kalyan Samiti, the project adopted an Integrated Community Development Approach through the Nail Gram Panchayat, covering five villages: Nail, Malli Bakhli, Jairaj, Gangnaula, and Thanidhar.
Focused on holistic rural transformation, the initiative seamlessly connected government schemes and digital services to grassroots beneficiaries while promoting financial literacy and online banking adoption. Strategic interventions spanned education, preventive healthcare, environmental conservation, sustainable livelihoods, women’s empowerment, and skill development for year-round employment. Active Gram Panchayat participation ensured community-driven asset creation and long-term self-sustenance.
Throughout the project cycle, Sanjeevani maintained rigorous monitoring through quantitative beneficiary data and qualitative insights, including interviews, field observations, and testimonials. By aligning local governance with digital inclusion and targeted sectoral development, the program significantly upgraded village infrastructure and socio-economic indicators. With all milestones achieved and comprehensive impact documentation finalized, the SBI Gram Seva initiative concludes as a replicable model of collaborative, community-led rural development. The project’s structured execution and transparent reporting validate its success, leaving a lasting legacy of empowered communities and sustainable rural progress across the region.
