Improve Living Standards
In the high-altitude terrain of Sulah, fragmented land and climate volatility create a cycle of vulnerability. With support from HDFC Bank CSR Parivartan, the Holistic Rural Development Programme (HRDP) is a multisectoral intervention that shifts the rural narrative from “aid-dependency” to “self-reliance.” By integrating climate-smart agriculture, digital education, and gender-inclusive governance, we are architecting model villages that own their development trajectory, laying the foundation for 10,111 beneficiaries that thrive today and endure tomorrow.

From Scarcity to Self-Reliance: Lata Devi’s Polyhouse Journey
After her husband’s passing, Lata Devi struggled to feed her family on Machhlena’s depleted fields. Thin harvests barely covered meals until help arrived: a low-cost plastic polyhouse built beside her home through HRDP programme, implemeted by Sanjeevani and supported by HDFC Bank CSR Parivartan. Along with seeds, tools, and training, she gained knowledge that transformed her farming. Inside the polyhouse, she harvested 524 kilograms of cucumbers and 62 kilograms of bell peppers, earning ₹21,920—far more than before. This income restored her confidence, enabling her to manage household expenses and plan for future crops. What began as survival grew into independence. Neighbours noticed not only her harvests but her renewed strength. The polyhouse turned scarcity into steady income, reshaping her role at home and in the village.
Sulah is rising. Kangra is transforming. India’s villages are flourishing.
