SBI Sashakti Livelihood Intervention – Udaan
Improve Living Standards
Udaan – Providing wings to Rural Women with from Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled tribes and women with disabilities. In Betalghat, SC/ST women and women with disabilities face intersecting barriers – restricted land rights, limited services, and systematic economic exclusion – while local agriculture grapples with 30–40% post-harvest losses, declining yields, and livestock challenges. Together with SBI Foundation, we are driving change: through targeted training, modern farming & livestock practices, resource access, and direct market linkages, we equip marginalized women to boost productivity, secure sustainable incomes, and step into economic leadership – building inclusive, resilient livelihoods from the ground up. The initiative directly empowered 600 rural women, including 50 women with disabilities, while indirectly benefiting approximately 3,000 household members through enhanced livelihood opportunities, capacity building, and inclusive community development.
